Just barely making it.
also, not that y'all ever had an excuse, but with Georgia kicking and screaming and turning blue IN SPITE OF all the gerrymandering and voter suppression that goes on here, y'all really ain’t got any excuse to keep acting like The South is some fucking monolith of backwoods bigotry and try to write us off and scapegoat us in order to feel superior and ignore your own issues. quit making jokes about throwing the south away or ignoring us during natural disasters or whatever the fuck, you’re not funny. minorities live in the south! progressives live in the south! stop being classist and disgusting and support your southern allies, we’re fighting hard to make things better
I have to leave this blog behind and begin a new one since tumblr won’t let me change emails.
My old email is lost to time and can not be reclaimed and I never logged out. But TODAY my work decided “HEY WE NEED YOU TO CLEAR ALL YOUR COOKIES” “do I have a choice??” “NOPE” so the only way I can leave this message is through mobile.
If any of y’all want to find me again you’ll have to go to this username: blueberry-boy
Nazis weren’t just the soldiers with guns at the entrances to death camps. They weren’t just the guys who ushered people into the gas chambers. They weren’t just the politicians signing the orders to invade other countries, or the generals ordering their troops to execute civilians.
Nazis were also the people who joined the party because it was the social thing to do. They were the people who looked the other way when their Jewish neighbors were hauled off. They were the actors who put their careers above the lives of others in order to take roles in propaganda films. They were the civilians who asked “But what do we do about the Jewish problem???” and expected a legitimate answer. They were the people who registered, and put their names on a list so they could have a little bit of social fortune while it was still popular to do so.
Those people were Nazis too.
So when I say you’re acting like a Nazi, I’m not saying you’re the one throwing the switch on the gas chambers or pulling the trigger on a gun. I’m saying you are legitimizing and supporting a political ideology which harms other people, and history will prove you wrong.
Honestly shoutout to The Social Network for giving us the line “you’re going to go through life thinking that girls don’t like you because you’re a nerd. And I want you to know, from the bottom of my heart, that that won’t be true. It’ll be because you’re an asshole” because if that doesn’t epitomize women’s feelings for entitled male nerds I don’t know what does

Janelle Monae — who last week released her album Dirty Computer — clarified that the pants she wore in her “PYNK” music video weren’t necessarily meant to simulate a vagina, and also clarified that her femme anthem is for all women, no matter what genitals they possess.
“Sometimes I think people interpret those as vagina pants, they call them vulva pants, they call them flowers, but it just represents some parts of some women,” Monae told People. “There are some women in the video that do not have on the pants, because I don’t believe that all women need to possess a vagina to be a woman. I have one I’m proud of it, but there’s a lot of policing and controlling that people are trying to have over our vaginas and when you think about female genital mutilation, when you think about all these women’s issues, I wanted to make sure we were discussing these issues but we were also celebrating each other.”
When “PYNK” was first released, Monae’s co-star (and rumored girlfriend) Tessa Thompson voiced her support for trans women.
Monae supported Thompson’s statement with one of her own.
